The Equestrian Center has two arenas, two round pens, two wash bays and several trails for you to enjoy.

Equestrian Rules and Regulations
Safety Issues

Do not enter or stand in the arenas or round pens when in use.

When on horseback, all riders must exit and enter GMR through the step overs located throughout the community along the perimeter fence.

Residents and visitors passing horse(s) on the roadway or shoulder must follow these rules:

Horses always have the right of way

Pass wide
-

Slow down to a safe speed that will not startle the horse(s)

Stay behind the horse(s) at least 15” until you can pass safely

Do not blow horn or rev your engine

Horse riders and walkers must be conscientious of vehicles and take all necessary action to avoid blocking the roadway.

4.The operation of ATV's, off road vehicles and dirt bikes is prohibited in the
equestrian arenas and round pens.
Rules

Watering the arena requires the Equestrian Chairperson's permission.

Manure cannot be stored and must be cleaned daily and removed weekly, including the corral area.

Horse droppings must be removed from the paved roads or shoulders within 24 hours.

There is a maximum one-hour limit when using the round pens.There is a maximum one-hour limit when using the arenas unless arrangements are made with the Equestrian Chairperson.

If an owner wants to leave their equestrian equipment in the arena or the area over night, they must submit a written request to the GMR HOA Board Equestrian Chairperson. This request must be received two weeks prior to the date needed, advise what they would like to leave and for how long. At no time over a two-week period. The Equestrian Chairperson will check with the other horse owners to see if anyone else had plans for the arenas.

All owners and residents must ensure that their personal horse trainers sign a liability waiver, provide the Association with a copy of the trainer's insurance declaration page, and add the Association as an additional insured to such policy before working in the arenas and round pens.

Do not ride on homeowners lots without permission except for the 8' HOA Easement. Homeowners are to keep this Easement clear and safe for the riders.
Information/Operations

The arenas are groomed as needed and after every rain or when requested.

Trails are groomed usually once a week or as needed.

The arenas are watered when it is dry to keep the dust down or when requested.
